“I am honored to be a part of the Wounded Warrior Project team,” said Burgess. “The start of a new journey is always exciting but it is especially so when joining a group whose goal is to ensure the successful rehabilitation and transition of this generation of wounded warriors.” The WWP’s purpose is to raise awareness and to enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service members, to help severely injured men and women aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
Burgess is a Vietnam veteran and has served as executive vice-president, chief financial officer of Duos Technologies, a high-tech provider of security solutions.
Steven Nardizzi, executive director of Wounded Warrior Project stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Ron Burgess to the WWP family. His diverse knowledge of the financial world along with his strong communication skills and commitment to team-building made him the ideal choice for our CFO position.”
