Mane de Leon opens new location; fundraising event on June 22

Mane de Leon, a full-service hair salon has opened its custom-designed, new location in historic, downtown St. Augustine at 137 King Street. Salon owner and long-time local businessperson and hair stylist Dana Mickler, moved from her former location in St. Augustine at 2302 N. Ponce De Leon Blvd., to the new 1,500-square-foot salon which is adjacent to the renowned Butterfield Art Gallery.

Beginning on Wednesday, June 20, Mickler will hold a silent auction at the salon to benefit the Junior Service League of St. Augustine’s Kids Bridge Family Visitation Center. Then, Mickler and her staff will welcome the public to the culmination of the fundraising effort to commemorate the new business space on Friday, June 22 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Food and beverage will be served and prepared by local restaurateur Craig Colee, owner of Cellar 6 in St. Augustine. The grand opening will be free and open to the public.

The new salon features a custom designed, granite top color bar that is unique to salons in the area with chemical work and hair color analysis for customers in the front lobby of the salon along with service areas. Mickler and her professional staff of hair stylists include Nancy Repp, Candice Stevens, Charlene Dunton, and Savannah Goller.
