Community First Credit Union announces scholarship recipients

Community First Credit Union announces the recipients of its annual Raymond A. Vinson Scholarship. The scholarship is named for educator Raymond A. Vinson, a nationally-known credit union pioneer and founder of Community First Credit Union. To honor Vinson, Community First awards five scholarships of up to $4,000 annually.

Among this year’s recipients are Guy Smith of Bishop Kenny High School, Ashley Rahn of Orange Park High School, Brianna Falcon of Fletcher High School, Iman Bethel of Douglas Anderson High School and Vendant Parikh of Stanton College Preparatory.

Applicants for the Vinson Scholarship must be a member or a dependent of a member of Community First Credit Union with an account in good standing for at least one year. To be considered, applicants must also be an entering freshman college student under the age of 24, demonstrate leadership ability and financial need, have a high school grade point average of at least 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1,110.
