Kailo Nutrition is proud to offer our Food for Life Classes to groups and organizations. Attend this free information session to discover how this nutrition and cooking program can benefit the health of your organization.
UNF Continuing Education is excited to announce a new program partnership with Food for Life. The Food for Life: Employee Wellness cooking course was designed by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a national nonprofit organization that promotes preventive medicine, particularly good nutrition, and supports higher standards in research.
Information session attendees will learn more about the interactive cooking course series which is designed to show employees how to easily create a sustainable dietary lifestyle rich in vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes. It won’t take long for employees to see impressive results when the body is consistently fueled with proper nutrition.
“The challenge, is not only to teach people which foods are good for them, but also to show them how to make the foods taste good,” says Susan Levin, M.S., R.D., the director of nutrition education for PCRM. Each class centers on important nutrition topics as Jacksonville’s Food for Life cooking instructor, Heather Borders, guides students through the preparation of tasty and easy-to-prepare recipes.
Food for Life is a collaborative effort of physicians, researchers, and nutritionists who have joined together to educate the public about the benefits of a healthful diet for weight management and disease prevention. Based in Washington, D.C., Food for Life is a program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
