Franklin Street, the exclusive leasing representative for First Watch Restaurants, announces the popular, Tampa-based breakfast-brunch- lunch concept is opening three new locations in the area, the newest to be located in the former site of Corner Bakery at Brooklyn Station on Riverside Avenue.
Construction on the Brooklyn Station location will commence this summer. The building is 4,000-square feet and First Watch has signed a 10-year lease deal with Regency Centers, the owner of the shopping center.
“First Watch has become a popular choice for daytime diners in the Jacksonville market with four current locations throughout the city,” said Carrie Smith, managing director of Franklin Street. “The announcement of these new locations nearly doubles its local footprint and brings the popular brand to the neighborhoods of Southside, Bartram Park and Brooklyn, while solidifying the brand’s presence in the Jacksonville region.”
Construction is underway at the Southside location, at 4490 Southside Blvd. and construction started this month on First Watch’s freestanding location at the Shoppes at Bartram Park. All three new locations in the market should open in 2017.
“Jacksonville is a strategic part of our continued growth in FL and we are excited to continue our expansion with these high-profile locations,” said Matthew Livingston, Southeast director of real estate for First Watch. “We are actively looking for new sites around the city.”
Franklin Street’s retail division in Jacksonville represents retailers and restaurants throughout North Florida. The company’s retail team also negotiated the lease for the nearby Grabbagreen location at Brooklyn Station and negotiated the first location of Jimmy John’s in downtown Jacksonville.
