One_Spark_Logo_Horizontal_Blue_200One Spark today announced its Creator Innovation Day agenda, which includes keynote speakers from Made In Space, an address from Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry and a series of Northeast Florida leaders in business and technology. Creator Innovation Day is Thursday, April 7 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront and open to the public. It’s the second of a two-day event, following the First Wednesday Spark Walk Creator Showcase on April 6.

Curated by Jacksonville Community of Entrepreneurs (JAXCoE) and One Spark Ventures, Creator Innovation Day will showcase a full slate of programming focused on providing Creators and entrepreneurs with information, tools, and local resources to move ideas from concept to company.

The keynote speakers will be Andrew Rush, president of Made In Space, and Spencer Pitman, head of product strategy. As a leader in additive manufacturing technology for the space environment, Made In Space developed the first 3D printers designed for use on the International Space Station. The company maintains offices in Silicon Valley and Jacksonville.

“Spencer and I are thrilled to join One Spark’s Creator Innovator Day,” said Rush. “As Jacksonville continues to grow into a hub for entrepreneurship, we take pride that Made In Space is part of the movement. We’re excited to see this year’s Creators and the positive impact they will make in Northeast Florida and beyond.”

Creator Innovation Day’s agenda includes:

  • Breakout sessions: Participants can join breakout sessions in four categories: Innovating Your Business, Protecting Your Business, Funding Your Business and Running Your Business. Local startup founders and experts will lead the sessions designed to give detailed tips and information for every aspect of a new business.
  • Lean Canvas workshop: Lean Canvas is a strategic entrepreneurial tool that has taken the startup world by storm. It enables business owners to describe, design, challenge, invent and pivot their business model quickly.
  • Networking opportunities: With lunch and a reception following the event, participants will have several chances throughout the day to network with fellow entrepreneurs and breakout session leaderss
  • Hackathon: Local college and high school students will develop creative solutions to solve a problem facing our community in an all-day hackathon. The winning teams will receive cash prizes.
