Sports enthusiasts can soon rejoice over a new website that aims to revolutionize the way sports content is received and how fans connect around the latest news and developments in the sports world. Known as FanZoos, the site will be unveiled during an official launch event on Thursday, March 24th at the Beaver Street Enterprise Center, 1225 W. Beaver Street in Jacksonville. The event will run from 6:30pm -9:30pm and is free to the public.
Representatives of Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry’s office are expected to attend, in addition to athletes and representatives from the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Armada and some of the city’s other professional and city league teams.
Created by Wilnic Marc and partners Richardson Pierre and Clerna Marc, FanZoos is not your grandfather’s online portal. It contains raw, unadulterated, 24-7 accessible fun for hard-core and casual sports fans. Whether they are at the game, or sitting on the living room couch, everyone can have their voices heard.
“FanZoos is a web video platform that serves as a community for sports fans everywhere, allowing them to post videos, provide analysis, rant and engage in discussions about their teams and other topics in sports,” Wilnic Marc said. “Consider it a cross between Facebook, YouTube and ESPN.com.”
Similar to some other online social platforms, FanZoos members can create accounts, post content of their choice and generate followers. However, the site is uniquely centered on sports. Users are encouraged to provide their “Fan Take” on various topics ranging from which NFL team will win the Super Bowl, to whether or not college athletes at big schools should be paid. Active members can qualify for fun promotions and prizes.
During the event, attendees will enjoy a reception with music, food and beverages before having the opportunity to create personal accounts on-site and experiment with the website on their own.
“We are very excited to introduce FanZoos to the public and we can’t wait to see what the response will be,” Wilnic Marc said. “The possibilities are endless. Our goal is to create the best sports entertainment site in the world.”
