Annie Grogan, President and CEO to The Hispanic Institute for Life and Leadership (The H.I.L.L.) was the recipient of the 2015 Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award during the September 20, 2015 game against the Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins.. The award recognizes the contributions of Hispanic leaders in each NFL market and is a joint partnership between the NFL, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) and the local football franchise. The program is now in its fifth consecutive year of history across the country.
Annie Grogan has over 20 years of professional human resources experience working in top Fortune 500 companies, working in high visibility roles related to HR Generalist and Corporate Recruiting roles both at the national and international level. Annie serves in multiple roles with organizations throughout her community related to business and topics impacting the Latino Community. A veteran of the US Army, she completed an ROTC program during her undergraduate years and has a degree in Secondary Education, from the University of Puerto Rico. She served her country as a Commissioned Officer in the Logistics field serving on assignments stateside and in Europe. Annie is also the founder of the organization. Her HR experience was a critical component to the framework of the organization as much of its mission is principled around HR business strategies.
As part of the honor, each award recipient has the ability to name a nonprofit of choice that serves the local Hispanic community for a $2000 donation. Annie has chosen her own organization for the donation. “It was indeed a surprise and an honor to find out that I was selected for the award and that I would have a chance to make such a nice contribution to our organization heading toward the tail end of the year” stated Annie Grogan in an interview.
