TC-Logo-300pxThe City of Jacksonville, Jax Chamber Information Technology Council and Florida State College at Jacksonville opened registration this week for the second annual Northeast Florida signature information technology event, Tech Coast Conference. The 2015 Tech Coast Conference is scheduled for Friday, August 28 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center at 1000 Water Street.

The all day symposium provides a forum for local businesses, IT decision makers, the skilled local talent pool and technology innovators from around the world to share advances, opportunities and solutions within the growing tech industry.

The event begins with breakfast and registration at 7 a.m. and concludes with a happy hour at 6 p.m. Throughout the day, IT professionals can benefit from world-class seminars, training, breakout sessions and panels on a variety of IT related topics. Networking and showcased vendor booths are also available during the entire event.

“With 550 attendees, 20 vendors and two CIO panels, last year’s inaugural event was a huge success,” FSCJ Dean of Career Education Dr. Wendy Norfleet said. “The goal is to take that momentum and build on it for this year’s event. We’re planning on more than 1,000 attendees this year and 40 vendors.”

Last year’s event was held at Florida State College at Jacksonville’s downtown campus and had more than 500 attendees. The City of Jacksonville partnered with FSCJ to provide a new, larger venue that allows the JAX Chamber to create more opportunities for event attendees and sponsors.

“Every major tech company in the area is expected to participate,” said Jax Chamber IT Council Vice President Joe Flask. “The event creates a platform for area technology to come together under one roof, for the Jacksonville IT community to collaborate and experience the latest in tech innovation.”

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance of the 2nd Annual Tech Coast Conference at to minimize wait times for their badges at check-in. Attendee registration is free through August 14. Starting August 15, registration will be $20.
