Jacksonville-based Studio9 Architecture has been selected to provide space planning, interior design and construction drawings for the relocation of Citizens Property Insurance Corporation’s Operations Center to EverBank Center downtown. Studio9 also is the architect for 220 Riverside and Unity Plaza, both scheduled to open this spring.
Space planning is almost complete, incorporating the proximity and adjacency needs of more than 1,000 permanent employees to ensure efficient workflow and maximum productivity. Space planning also will accommodate temporary workers as needed, as well as future growth. Interior design, construction drawings and permitting will quickly follow. Citizen’s is expected to take occupancy of nine floors, encompassing 232,000 square feet fall 2015.
“As a company committed to the revitalization of downtown, we are thrilled to be part of this significant project,” said Jason Faulkner, principal of Studio9 and the lead designer for the project. “Relocations of this employment size and impact don’t happen every day in Jacksonville, which is why we are especially gratified to be chosen to design this renovation.”
