Visit Jacksonville launches its first major tourism campaign on Instagram, encouraging residents and visitors to highlight all the special attractions, places and sights that can be found only in Jacksonville by posting images to the social network with the hashtag #OnlyInJax.

Visit Jacksonville will then tally the “likes” and select one overall contest winner.  The winner of phase 2 of the contest will receive an “Only in Jax” getaway to experience the places, cuisine, events and attractions that can be found only in Jacksonville.

Visit Jacksonville President and CEO Paul Astleford said the larger goal of the contest is to develop a community within Instagram where both residents and travelers can share what they enjoy most about Jacksonville.

“We want to encourage social media discussions to highlight all the events, activities and experiences that make our destination unique and that a person can only find in our River City by the Sea,” said Astleford.

All the images collected will be displayed in Visit Jacksonville offices, social media campaigns and at several Jacksonville events including ArtWalk.
