Todd Gillrup and Tom Wages named to Sally Corporation Board

Todd Gillrup.Todd Gillrup, vice-president of operations at Jacksonville’s Sally Corporation, has been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Gillrup, a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Art, and of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Institute for Executive Education at the University of Pittsburgh’s Wharton School, joined the animatronics and dark ride company in 1992 as a staff artist. He soon became art finish supervisor, then production manager, and in 2005 was promoted to vice-president of operations.

“Todd is keenly involved in each and every project Sally undertakes, from the initial evaluation through its implementation on the shop floor,” says Sally Corporation CEO John Wood. “His insight into the inner working of the company and its operational and production capabilities will add a unique perspective to the board’s dialogue.”

Tom Wages head shotTom Wages, a noted veteran of the parks and attractions industry, who in a previous career was involved with resort/community development and operations at Hilton Head and Amelia Island, has joined the board of directors of Sally Corporation, the Jacksonville-based dark ride and animatronics design/build company.

Wages, a former president of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and president and general manager of parks and attractions in New York state and Connecticut, was a founding member of the New York Parks and Attractions Association, served on the Governor’s New York Tourism Advisory Commission, and has served on various IAAPA committees for over thirty years.

He and his wife, Bobbie, retired to Amelia Island, where he recently completed a three year term on the community’s board of directors.

“We are very fortunate that Tom now lives in such close proximity to Jacksonville, and that he is willing to share his extensive knowledge and expertise in the park and attractions industry as a member of our board,” says Sally Corporation CEO John Wood.
