Anna Brosche raises nearly $40,000 in first month of City Council campaign

anna brosche campaignAnna Brosche, candidate for Jacksonville City Council At-Large Group 1, raised nearly $40,000 in the first month of her campaign. Brosche received over 75 unique contributions from individuals and businesses for a monetary donation total of $39,625. Brosche credited the fundraising success to strong grassroots support across Jacksonville.

“I am grateful to all of our supporters for helping with my campaign,” said Brosche. “I appreciate the graciousness of those who have offered to host fundraising events, those who have shared my story and passion with their friends, and those who have taken time to meet with me. I am excited about the strength and depth of the support that the campaign has received and I look forward to more success in the coming weeks as we continue to communicate our positive message for our great city of Jacksonville. I look forward to working on issues that will promote job creation, fix our long-term budget, protect our quality of life, utilize our natural assets, and ensure that we have the best trained workforce in Florida.”

Brosche, managing shareholder at Ennis Pellum & Associates, CPAs, holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in accounting from the University of North Florida. She has a strong record of leadership and community involvement in Jacksonville where she is the current chair of the United Way of Northeast Florida Board of Directors and is a board member of both the Ritz Chamber Music Society and the University of North Florida Foundation. Brosche previously served as a board member of the JAX Chamber and as Advisory Board Chair for the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center. She lives on the Westside of Jacksonville with her husband David and two children ages 13 and 7. She is a Jacksonville native, the daughter of a Filipino who joined the Navy and eventually gained U.S. citizenship. Her husband is also serving in the military where he currently is a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and will deploy to Djibouti, an African nation near Somalia, in March 2014.
