CoWork Jax and the SBDC at UNF team up to present a student edition of fastpitch

CoWork-JaxCoWork Jax and the Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida (SBDC at UNF) are collaborating to present fastpitch! on Tuesday, September 17 at the University of North Florida’s Student Union.

CoWork Jax first put on fastpitch! in March 2012 as a creative way to connect Jacksonville’s entrepreneurs with each other and the resources they need to build their businesses. During the event, five pre-selected presenters have five minutes to pitch their idea to an audience of peers; potential investors, partners, and mentors; and other people interested in innovation. Each pitch is followed by a short audience Q&A session.

The special edition of fastpitch! on September 17th will feature student entrepreneurs. Stephanie Royal, Marketing Director for the SBDC at UNF says, “There are very creative and interesting concepts from UNF students and graduates and at fastpitch! they can showcase those ideas and learn what it takes to advance them.”

Doors for the event will open at 6:00pm. Presentations will begin at 6:30pm. A networking session will be held afterwards at The Boathouse at UNF.
