Wally Lee and Anna Valent Launch Business

Company Services Enhance Employee Productivity and Retention

Retired JAX Chamber President Wally Lee and former Chamber Vice President of Operations Anna Valent today announced the launch of their new company, LeeValent Group, LLC. LeeValent helps companies attract top candidates, increase productivity, improve employee retention and reduce turnover costs by introducing top recruits to the region while also successfully integrating relocating employees into the Northeast Florida community.

“Wally and Anna are proven strategic leaders who fully understand our community and maintain strong relationships throughout the region,” said Ed Burr, president and CEO of GreenPointe Holdings and a former JAX Chamber chair. “There are no two people better prepared to help relocating employees quickly adjust to and embrace Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.”

Burr serves on the LeeValent Group LLC Advisory Board along with several other seasoned executives, including Ron Autrey, Bruce Barcelo, Sandy Bartow, Rusty Bozman, Lathun Brigman, Anna Brosche, Ed Burr, Ted Carter, Rick Cox, Renee Finley, Dane Grey, Dr. Les Krieger, Alyson Lee, Jim Linn, Bill Mason, Maxine McBride, Robert Onstead, Peter Rummell, Andrew Russell, Greg Smith, David Strickland, Joe Thompson, Dr. Amit Vijapura and Dr. Steve Wallace

LeeValent offers services to introduce candidates to Northeast Florida’s diverse neighborhoods, schools and job opportunities for trailing spouses. According to a 2011 Allied Mobility Study, on average, companies lose 31 percent of top candidates due to a concern about a move, and 80 percent of relocatees say companion issues are the top stressor for relocating. Currently, less than 2 percent of companies address these significant issues in their relocation process.

“We will help differentiate our clients as excellent employers and corporate citizens,” said Lee who served as JAX Chamber president and CEO for more than 23 years. “The availability of our services will also differentiate Northeast Florida as a great place to live, work and play.”

National research indicates that it takes between two and three years for employees and their families to feel at home in a new community. LeeValent will offer extensive services to fully integrate employees and their families. By helping trailing spouses secure employment and ensuring families find the right neighborhoods, schools, and services, LeeValent will reduce turnover and increase productivity.

“Relocating employees can, and often do, feel like strangers in a strange land,” said Valent who served in Chamber leadership positions for eight years before becoming a principal with the LeeValent Group LLC. “Our job is to make sure they feel like welcome neighbors.”
