Stellar Adds Six Team Members to Refrigeration Services Team

Stellar, a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction and mechanical services worldwide, has hired six employees in its Refrigeration Services division.

Stellar Refrigeration Services is a worldwide leader in industrial refrigeration systems for both the food-and-beverage and cold-storage industries. In addition to designing and building refrigeration systems, the group also provides parts and 24/7 maintenance and repair.

“We’re excited to add a diverse mix of talent to our team, both young professionals and those with decades of experience,” stated John Heinzel, Vice President of Refrigeration Contracting. “This range of industry know-how and in-house credentials will strengthen the level of service we provide our customers.”

The newest members of Stellar Refrigeration Services are:

Don Stroud, Senior Refrigeration Engineer – With 35 years of experience in the food industry, Stroud has expertise in building maintenance, renovation, process equipment installation and utilities design. Prior to joining Stellar, he spent 21 years with Kraft Foods and 11 years with Oscar Mayer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

Donald Bivens, Mechanical Integrity Technician – With more than 34 years of experience in piping and HVAC design and documentation, Bivens has expertise in commercial, industrial and marine systems. A graduate from Florida State College, he is responsible for the design of refrigeration systems for construction projects.

Michael Wolf, Senior Project Manager – Wolf has more than two decades of experience in mechanical and refrigeration systems, which he applies to the coordination of all corporate refrigeration contracting issues – everything from budget control and scheduling to reviewing proposals. He graduated from the State University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Carol Williams, Project Manager – With almost three decades of experience in ammonia refrigeration, Williams is focused on helping clients comply with OSHA’s process safety management standards. She also conducts risk management audits and leads process hazard analysis revalidations. Williams graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Temple University.

Joe Melvin, Refrigeration Engineer – With more than two years of experience in refrigeration, Melvin is responsible for the design of refrigeration systems for new projects, as well as renovations of existing systems. His former client roster includes Kellogg’s, Nestlé, Pepsi, Kraft and Food Lion. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Juan Fonseca, Assistant Project Manager – Fonesca leverages his experience in production supervision, logistics and health and safety management to assist with overall project development. This includes management of financials, labor, safety and customer service. He graduated from the Catholic University of Nicaragua with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
