Sunshine Support Services advocates on behalf of their clients in several important ways.    “We monitor the health of our clients, helping them access available community services and targeting their specific needs and wants,” says founder, CEO and Executive Director, Sharon Clements, MA.  “Our goal is to help improve the quality of life for our clients by providing ongoing mental health case management services that make a positive difference.”At a recent Beaver Street Enterprise Center orientation for new tenants, attended by Clements and her entire staff, the cohesion and camaraderie of the Sunshine Support Services team was evident.  “We are working together to help the people of our community,” said Clements, “and headquartering here at Beaver Street Enterprise Center is convenient for both our current clientele and our staff.  The central location is perfect and we benefit from services including office equipment, furniture, phone, utilities, internet, and more.  For a start-up small business, BSEC is a great advantage.”

With a Masters degree in Organizational Management, a Bachelors in social behavioral sciences and an AA in Criminal Justice, more than twenty years experience caring for the mental health population in the community, ten years as an adjunct professor at Florida Community College Jacksonville (now FSCJ), and three years working as a support coordinator for Agencies for Persons with Disabilities, Sharon Clements is uniquely equipped to head up her fledgling company.  Her able staff includes Patricia Williams, AA, AAS, Director, Human Resources, Mental Health Case Managers Cynthia Williams, BS, and Denise Bivens, BS, Billing Specialist Lavander Collier, AA, and Administrative Assistant Bobbie Irby.

Now serving more than twenty-five clients in the local community, Clements and her impressive team of health professionals are poised to make positive strides in improving the lives of many more persons in need of mental health case management.   Their new website is coming and, in the meantime, Sunshine Support Services can be reached at 904-265-4747.

“It is exciting to have new companies like Sunshine Support Services headquartering here at Beaver Street Enterprise Center as we celebrate our tenth year as Jacksonville’s top business incubator” said Executive Director Jackie Perry.  “Their vital services make a huge difference for their clients.  We’re all inspired by the competence, energy and enthusiasm of Sunshine’s staff!”
