Florida Radiological Society names Davila President

A Jacksonville radiologist is serving in a statewide leadership role in his field. Jesse A. Davila, MD of MBB Radiology is now president of the Florida Radiological Society (FRS) after assuming the position at the organization’s annual meeting in July.

As president, Dr. Davila will oversee the organization as it fulfills its mission to advance the science of radiology, improve radiologic service to patients and the medical community, study the economics of radiology, encourage the improved and continued education for radiologists and the establishment and maintenance of high medical and ethical standards in the practice of radiology.

Dr. Davila is a radiologist with subspecialty fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging and is a senior partner with MBB Radiology. He has been a leader at both the state and national levels since 2000, serving as the national Chair of the Residents and Fellow Section as well as the Young Physicians Section. Prior to joining MBB Radiology in 2005, he was Imaging Director of Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute and an Assistant Professor at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. For more information, visit
