JAXUSA Partnership hires Bowman as Senior Vice President for Business Development

JAXUSA Partnership, a division of the JAX Chamber, is pleased to welcome Aaron Bowman who will serve as the senior vice president for business development.

With an extensive background in the military and defense industry, Bowman will serve in the role occupied by John Haley who will retire at the end of August. Bowman will primarily focus on the development and relocation of aviation and aerospace companies and advanced manufacturing companies to Northeast Florida. He will report to Jerry Mallot, president of JAXUSA Partnership and executive vice president of the JAX Chamber.

Bowman served in the U.S. Navy for 28 years. He was Commander of Naval Air Station Mayport and most recently worked for BAE Systems. In his early career, he was an aircraft carrier pilot flying both the A-7 Corsair and F/A-18 Hornet and a certified flight instructor for both aircraft. He lived in multiple locations during his service for the Navy but has resided in the JAX Region for a total of 17 years.

Bowman retired from the Navy in 2011. He said you are given one final move. “I had any option as far as a location, and Jacksonville is where I wanted to live,” Bowman said.

He was honored with numerous campaign, unit and personal decorations during his tenure with the Navy, including the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal.
