iStart Jax Inc., a nonprofit business accelerator for technology startups is pleased to announce Eric Keeler, a Jacksonville Startup Weekend participant, has received $250,000 seed funding for his EO2 water innovation with a pledge of a hundred times (100X) that amount within the next year to establish infrastructure.
EO2 stands on the idea of an FDA approved compound added to the water that increases the speed of its absorption and percent of what is absorbed. Their goal for EO2 is to create super water that can do everything other sports products can without any of the bad ingredients.
Eric came to Jacksonville Startup Weekend with EO2’s water idea. However, a representative from a large name beverage company present during the Startup weekend placed an offer outright to purchase the company.
After turning down the offer, Eric went on to pitch Armex, a cooling suit for NASCAR drivers that is catered to their every need. Eric’s previous dealings with NASCAR had given him the feedback that the suit improved the driver’s comfort level by 20% and their ability to focus by 5%. Armed with his data, Eric and his team pitched the idea during Jacksonville Startup Weekend, won numerous prizes and started his long standing relationship with iStart Jax.
