SBA’s Chief Counsel for Advocacy to meet with local businesses

On Wednesday, June 20, Dr. Winslow Sargeant, Chief Counsel for Advocacy for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will meet with local leaders and businesses at the JAX Chamber.

As Chief Counsel for Advocacy, Dr. Sargeant speaks on behalf of small businesses within the federal government. At his 10 a.m. JAX Chamber appearance, Dr. Sargeant will discuss his office’s work, its research and work on regulatory issues as well as small businesses’ vital role in Florida’s economy and the nation’s. As a former entrepreneur, Dr. Sargeant offers a unique perspective on the challenges of starting and growing a small business.

Dr. Sargeant and Wilfredo J. Gonzalez, District Director for the North Florida District Office, will also tour Nova Pressroom Products, SBA Regional Exporter of the Year and Myers-Seth Pump starting at 2 p.m.

Members of the Media are invited to attend any portion of the advocacy event and following small business tours. Dr. Sargeant will also be available to provide one-one one interviews as requested.
