Downtown Vision Inc. hires marketing and communications staff, promotes director of marketing

Downtown Vision Inc. (DVI) announced the addition of Sarah Henderson, communications coordinator, and Liz Grebe, marketing and events assistant, to its marketing department and the promotion of Katherine Hardwick to director of marketing.

As full-time communications coordinator, Henderson is tasked with telling the story of Downtown through DVI’s printed and online communications, maintaining the website and managing DVI’s social media outreach. Before joining DVI, Sarah worked as a staff reporter and photographer for The Ponte Vedra Recorder in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Grebe joined DVI as part-time marketing and events assistant following an extended marketing internship with DVI. She is tasked with managing Downtown Vision’s signature events, including the First Wednesday Art Walk, and supporting the staff on traditional and grassroots marketing initiatives. While interning, Grebe implemented a college outreach program at the University of North Florida and received the Prism Student Promise Award.

This is the second promotion for Hardwick, who joined DVI in 2009. As director of marketing, she is tasked with strategic leadership and management of the organization’s initiatives to market Downtown Jacksonville. Hardwick brings seven years of marketing experience to the organization. Formerly, as marketing and events manager for DVI, she doubled the average attendance of the First Wednesday Art Walk and launched a number of initiatives to streamline this signature event. She also demonstrated tremendous creativity in the “explore the more” campaign heralded by the International Downtown Association in 2009.
