Art By Design First Wednesday Art Walk Dec. 7

This holiday season, go local! Shop Art Walk vendors and venues for unique gifts you won’t find anywhere else during the Art By Design First Wednesday Art Walk on Wednesday, Dec, 7, 2011, from 5-9 p.m. rain or shine.

This free event will include more than 17 live music & performance venues, more than 11 hot spots open after 9 p.m., and more than 44 total stops including:

•Hemming Plaza Jewelers – Support the Duval Art Teachers Association Art Auction Fundraiser in providing student art scholarships.

•The Art Center Cooperative, Inc. (TAC II) – Take care of your holiday shopping with handcrafted gift items made by local artists at the “Holiday Art Walk Party.” Special original Christmas artwork will be on sale. Join AIGA for their “Designers in Toyland 3” show upstairs.

•City Hall – Make City Hall at St. James one of your stops to meet Mayor Alvin Brown, hear performances by the Ritz Voices, enjoy holiday snacks, beverages and more!

•AT&T Tower 301 – Presents holiday music by the Northeast Florida Conservatory, A Community School of the Arts and a holiday tree on display.

•Snyder Memorial – Join the City of Jacksonville for Dueling Pianos as two talented piano players take requests from the crowd and perform songs with their own comedic flare. Audience participation is encouraged to add to the fun!
