121 Financial Credit Union donated a 160 gigabyte hard-drive computer server to be installed at the new offices of the Girls On The Run, Northeast Florida branch, announced Larry Rouse, 121 Financial’s Information Technology Manager.

Girls On The Run is a non-profit, community based prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Geared toward girls from ages 8 to 11, the program addresses all aspects of a girl’s development— their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being.

“We found out through their community work that they could use this type of equipment,” Rouse explained. “They provide a great service to the young girls of the Northeast Florida community and any donation can help them serve young girls who normally would not have the opportunity to benefit from the programs offered by Girls On The Run. 121 Financial challenges all area businesses to offer a helping hand to this worthwhile organization.”
