NEFBA goes country for annual charity gala

The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) went country for its annual charity gala by hosting a county fair celebration at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville. More than 550 people attended the gala celebration, which featured traditional fair food and entertainment including funnel cakes and a dunking booth.

“Our annual gala brought NEFBA members together for a great night of camaraderie and fun,” said Michael Bourré, 2011 president of NEFBA and president of Bourré Construction Group. “We appreciate everyone who served on the gala committee and the many sponsors who helped make this event such a great success for the association.”

Rita Williams of Merchandising Plus won the coveted Grand Prize Giveaway, an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Country Music Association (CMA) Music Festival in Nashville.

The 2011 Charity Gala was sponsored by the NEFBA E-Council, Greater Jacksonville Communities, Scapes of North Florida, Scott Alarm, Southland Waste Systems, TECO Peoples Gas, Wells Fargo, Miller Creative, Oliva Cigars, AT&T, The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village and PrimeLending.

A portion of the proceeds from the gala benefit Builders Care, a not-for-profit community-based construction organization whose mission is to provide home improvements, particularly to aid senior and disabled citizens to function safer in their own homes.
