Beaches Energy Services distributes call to artists

Beaches Energy Services of Jacksonville Beach, Florida is offering the opportunity of exposure for local artists. Beaches Energy asks for artistic entries for its “The Art of Conservation Juried Collection,” which will feature twelve pieces of artwork in its Tidings newsletter, accompanied with the artists’ biography and website address/URL. Beaches Energy is seeking local artists whose work embodies the organization’s mission and vision for the Jacksonville community.

Beaches Energy encourages artists wishing to represent a positive message of promoting conservation and the Jacksonville community’s unique environment through the outlet of art. Entries should reflect one of more of the concepts of beach life, environmental or energy conservation, and the beach community, in order to be considered.

Artists must be 18 years of age or older in the communities of Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach or have a professional affiliation with a business in the customer service communities. There is no fee for entry, and artists may submit up to six images for consideration. The call is for digital images of two dimensional artworks which will be featured each month of 2012 in the customer newsletter.

Opportunities for The Art of Conservation Juried Collection are outlined below:

 Entry deadline: Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011

 Jury results emailed on or before: Nov. 21, 2011

 Finalists’ high resolution images (for those chosen) uploaded or mailed by Nov. 30, 2011

 Exhibit announcement: January issue of Tidings newsletter and January Third Thursday ArtWalk event to be held on Jan. 19, 2012
