Valent re-elected to FACP Board of Directors

The JAX Chamber is pleased to announce its vice president of operations, Anna Valent, was re-elected as a member of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) Board of Directors to serve an additional three-year term. The FACP provides chamber of commerce professionals with the information, educational tools and communication skills they need to fulfill their chambers’ missions.

“We congratulate Anna on her re-election to the FACP board – she is an outstanding leader with exceptional vision,” said JAX Chamber President Wally Lee. “Anna’s participation allows the JAX Chamber to engage with other chambers and chamber executives and continue to have a position of influence at the state level.”

Valent joined the Chamber in 2005 as an event manager and was promoted to vice president of operations in February 2009. In her current role, her focus is information technology, facilities management, events and annual and strategic planning. As event manager, she planned numerous Chamber events and launched ImpactJAX, the Chamber’s young professional program. Valent was promoted to director of events where she worked with the Chamber’s chair-elects to plan five annual Leadership Trips and one international trip to China.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Valent was the Northeast Regional Manager for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida.

Valent was originally elected to the FACP Board of Directors in 2011. She is a member of the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women and the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Commission.

Valent holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. She is an alumna of the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2011 and received the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award in 2009.
