BFA to host networking and panel discussion event

The Brazil-Florida Alliance (BFA) is hosting a networking event and panel discussion to provide attendees with access to knowledge and the ability to network with others who are participating in the abundant trade opportunities with Brazil on Oct. 19, 2011, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Tento Charruscaria (528 North First Street, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.).

Networking will be conducted from 5:30 to 6 p.m., followed by the panel discussion beginning promptly at 6 p.m., with discussions from Port of Fernandina Beach: Val Schwec – Commercial Director for the SE Region, Kinder Morgan Terminals; JAXPORT: TBC; Winn Dixie Stores Inc.: Terrell Jones – Logistics Manager; Brazil Florida Alliance: Joshua Rodriggs – President; JAXUSA : Michael Breen – Senior Director of the International Department

The panel will discuss what each of their organizations is doing with Brazil and how these organizations are adjusting their business strategies to take advantage of synergies. Each panel member will comment on how trade with Brazil is affecting their organizations either directly or indirectly.

The panel will also discuss the importance of North Florida’s geographic location in relation to the North/South trade lanes, the importance of Florida-Brazil trade, and relationship building in order to be successful when trading with Brazil.
