Pollard named director of catering operations for The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort

Andrew Pollard has been named director of catering operations at The Renaissance World Golf VillageResort and Convention Center in Jacksonville/St. Augustine. In his new position he is responsible for overseeing the operations for banquets and events at the AAA Four-Diamond Northeast Florida resort, which together with the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame is the largest combination hotel and convention center between Atlanta and Orlando, with 101,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Prior to joining The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center, Pollard served for three years as the Director of Events at the AAA Four-Diamond Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel and Spa in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In that position, he led the operations for such prestigious events as The World Creativity Forum which had 4,500 attendees, and The United States Conference of Mayors. Prior to that position, he served as Catering Service Manager at Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He may be reached at Andrew.Pollard@jqh.com.
