Deltona Realty launches property management company

Deltona Realty has launched a new property management company, Deltona

Realty Property Management, and hired real estate industry veteran Kathleen Barnard as its property manager.

The new company will provide tenant procurement and property management of long-term rentals, including services such as monthly statements and direct deposit. It will focus primarily on the St. Augustine area, south to CR 206 and north to include World Golf Village, Palencia and Murabella.

“Over the past six months, we’ve received an increasing number of inquiries about condominium and single-family home rentals,” said Karen Palmer, general sales manager at Homes by Deltona. “Our area is highly sought after, so we expect demand to continue to increase.”

With nearly five decades of real estate industry experience, Barnard is well known in the industry and local community. After obtaining her sales license in 1978, she went on to achieve the GRI designation (Graduate, Realtor Institute) in 1981, her instructor license in 1982, and become a GRI Dean in 1986. She was named the St. Johns Board Realtor of the Year in 1987 and opened Clock Properties the following year, later selling the company.

Barnard has long contributed to the northeast Florida community, including serving as one of the first Guardian Ad Litems in St. Johns County and a founder of the Betty Griffin House. She is also a Eucharistic Minister with the Cathedral Parish and a retired champion Irish dancer.
