121 Financial Credit Union adds ZashPay service

121 Financial Credit Union has added the ZashPay person-to-person (P2P) payment service for its online banking customers, announced CEO William Braddock.

ZashPay is a fast, secure and easy way to transfer money electronically, using the recipient’s email address or mobile number, in as little as one business day. Funds are deducted directly from the sender’s bank account and deposited directly into the recipient’s account. Recipients are notified of the transaction immediately via email or mobile text message.

“We believe ZashPay will be a great convenience to our customers,” reported Cindy Breslin, 121 Financial Credit Union’s vice president of marketing. “By using ZashPay, you can eliminate the inconvenience of writing checks or having to get cash from an ATM. It is easy to transfer funds to family or friends in a very short time and at little expense, and payments go directly into their bank accounts,” she added.

With any service, security is a major concern for 121 Financial. ZashPay personal payments are processed leveraging industry leading regulatory and security standards to protect customer’s information. ZashPay monitors all of its payment systems 24 hours a day and proactively identifies potentially fraudulent payments and suspicious activity with each account.

“We are constantly looking for products and services that help our customers get the one-to-one banking services they want and need. With over 870 financial institutions signing on to ZashPay, we believe this is another quality product we should be bringing for the benefit of our customers,” Breslin said.

ZashPay was developed by Brookfield, Wisconsin-based Fiserv Inc., a major provider of banking and payments technology. For more information, visit 121fcu.org.
