First Wednesday Art Walk Aug. 3

The First Wednesday Art Walk will be held Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. come rain or shine at some of downtown Jacksonville’s galleries and museums, as well as cultural venues, restaurants and businesses with more than 18 live music and performance venues, 10 hot spots open after 9 p.m. and 47 total stops

This free event will feature the animated film “Ratatouille” at 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. at the Snyder Memorial, tastings with chefs from the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort, a sneak peak of their Eat Up Downtown menu from Café NOLA, “Art in Strange Places” at the Main Street Park, the 5th Annual Uncommon Music…for a Common Cause showcase at the Florida Theatre, and “Killer art” is on display at Project Atrium: Melanie Pullen!

You can also celebrate culinary art at these participating Art Walk restaurants: Burrito Gallery, Benny’s Sandwich Shop & Gifts, Chew, Farah’s Uptown, International Café, Olio, KOJA Sushi, Northstar “The Pizza Bar” and Zodiac Bar & Grill.
