Red Otter Outfitters opens second location

With a goal to enrich lives through outdoor recreation, education and travel, Red Otter Outfitters—which carries outdoor apparel, footwear, travel gear, sunglasses, hats and water bottles— has journeyed to The Shops of Amelia Island Plantation and opened its second location June 29, 2011.

“Our passion is the outdoors. With a new Red Otter Outfitters at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, we can now reach a mix of locals and travelers, promoting the natural beauty Amelia Island offers. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few visitors fell in love and planted their roots here!” said Red Otter Outfitters owner, Jennie Stephens.

The Shops of Amelia Island Plantation feature 44,000 square feet of retailers, including Tommy Bahama at Harrison’s Mercantile, plantation-style décor at Resort to Home, and homemade ice cream and tarts from Marché Burette.

“Red Otter Outfitters is a welcome addition, adding active wear and outdoor gear for our guests and owners. Not only does it round out our roster of retailers, our guests are also encouraged to take full advantage of the countless recreational opportunities at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation,” said Melony Austin, resort director of retail.
