The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida is offering a workshop on how to use census data, which can be instrumental in getting business plan loan approval, launching or expanding a business, or winning a grant. The workshop, co-sponsored by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, will be July 27 at the University Center, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The workshop will cover:
• An overview of the census website,
• using American FactFinder,
• Conducting simple data searches,
• Using data to solve municipal and community problems,
• Using data to develop a business plan and target populations,
• Using data to support statement of need in planning, and
• Constructing a trend analysis.
