CIT employees donate 30,000 pounds of food

Employees of a number of area companies recently conducted food drives that benefitted area charitable organizations.

Employees of CIT Group Inc., a provider of financing to small businesses and middle market companies collected more than 30,000 pounds (15 tons) of food during its Sixth Annual Food Drive. The food was donated to City Rescue Mission (CRM), a non-profit organization that provides food and shelter to displaced and disadvantaged individuals and families in Northeast Florida, and will provide more than 20,000 meals to Jacksonville-area homeless.
