Mayor’s Environmental Luncheon to be March 25

The annual Mayor’s Environmental Luncheon will celebrate a number of successes that have taken place throughout the year by local environmental groups and individuals.  This year’s theme focuses on preserving and enhancing access to the St. Johns River.

The luncheon will be Friday, March 25, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Jacksonville Main Library, 303 N. Laura St.

The luncheon provides the opportunity for the mayor and local environmental groups to recognize individuals and groups who have made significant contributions throughout the year to preserving the environment. The event will also showcase exhibits and information on local environmental organizations and programs.

Tickets for the luncheon are $30 and are available in advance through the City of Jacksonville Office of Special Events.  Tickets also may be purchased at the door, depending upon availability.
