Fire safety contest nears deadline for video submissions

November 19 is the deadline for student video submissions for the fire safety project sponsored by Paul Davis Restoration, Inc. a provider of water, fire and mold damage cleanup and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This contest, which started on Sept. 1, was designed to draw awareness to the importance of fire safety and to recognize the life-saving efforts of fire professionals throughout the state.

Florida students currently enrolled in public or private educational institutions  K-12 and colleges and universities are encouraged to enter the contest. To be eligible to win, entrants must produce a “Public Service Announcement” (PSA) video on the importance of fire safety. The winner will be determined by popular vote on The Fire Safety Project YouTube Channel.

The student with the winning video will receive $10,000 for their school. In addition, the fire department that serves that school will receive a $2,500 donation.
