Quinn named Chamber’s V.P. of Public Policy

The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce has named Christopher Quinn as its new vice president of Public Policy.  In his role, Quinn

 is responsible for examining legislative issues and their effect on the business community while working to make the region’s pro-business issues known to legislators and the public.

 “We searched for a strong leader who will continue to advance our public policy division,” said Wally Lee, president of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce.  “Chris’ background in public policy and experience in membership organizations makes him a perfect fit.”

Quinn brings nearly 10 years experience to his new position.  He most recently served as executive director for the Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation (DMANF) in Washington, D.C., where he advanced the interests of nonprofit members in the areas of public policy, education, networking opportunities and fundraising.  During his tenure, DMANF had several significant policy victories such as preserving the tax deductible rate of charitable gifts and an exemption from regulation of charitable giving activities by the Consumer Protection Bureau.
