SBDC announces promotions

 The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida (SBDC, www.sbdc.unf.edu) has promoted Marice Hague to Community Outreach Director and Stephanie Royal to Director of Marketing.

Hague will be responsible for overseeing program development of special projects and a liaison to partners in the small business community.

Hague was most recently the Program Manager for the Northeast Florida Region of the Small Business Resource Network a program of the SBDC.  She was instrumental in the growth of the program into a statewide network. She handled the marketing, event coordination, and assisted in member management for the Northeast Florida region.

Hague has been with the organization for six years and was named SBDC at UNF Regional Employee of the Year in 2006.  She earned a bachelor’s in Communication from the University of North Florida and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Florida.  

Royal will be responsible for spearheading all SBDC marketing efforts throughout 18 counties in Northeast Florida. 

In her position as Marketing/Training Coordinator, Royal organized 100+ small business training programs annually and coordinated events such as the Annual Small Business Week Celebration.  Additionally, she coordinated marketing efforts for the SBDC located in Jacksonville and its surrounding counties.

Royal has more than 10 years experience in marketing and event planning and has been at the SBDC for six years.  She was named SBDC at UNF Regional Employee of the Year in 2007. She has a B.A. in Communications from Jacksonville University and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Florida.
