TechVenture2010 to showcase high-tech innovations

A conference showcasing next-generation technologies being developed across Florida will be held at The Peabody in Orlando, Nov. 18 and 19. The TechVenture 2010 conference is being sponsored by Florida Technology Journal, a source for business technology news, is sponsoring 2010, Nov. 18 and 19 at The Peabody Orlando.

TechVenture aims to connect innovative high-tech companies with influential growth resources such as corporate buyers, university researchers, incubators, entrepreneurs and other sources of capital.

TechVenture is currently accepting demonstration applications from early and growth stage companies, allowing them to show their solution to a room full of industry influencers and peers. To apply, companies must be headquartered in Florida, be privately owned with 1-50 employees and have annual revenues from pre-revenue up to $50 million. Additionally, companies must have proprietary technology and the product or solution must be commercialized, in trials or beta testing stages.

“There are a number of forward-thinking technologies being developed here in Florida, but what is missing is the appropriate forum to showcase them,” said David Glass, publisher of Florida Technology Journal. “What these local companies need is a platform to demonstrate their solutions. TechVenture provides a meeting place for early and growth stage companies as well as industry influencers who ultimately will assist in increasing Florida’s presence on the map for technological innovation.”

Covering the whole technology spectrum, industries represented at this year’s TechVenture include alternative energy, biotech, cleantech, hardware, healthcare IT, digital media, medical device, nanotech, software, web applications, wireless technologies, and more.

Festivities begin November 18 with a kick-off party followed by a day of keynotes, educational sessions, demonstrations and networking opportunities on November 19. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Complete information on TechVenture 2010, including conference agenda, is available at:
