Two to be honored for work with disabled

MassMutual of Jacksonville and Exceptional Parent magazine will honor two Jacksonville residents for their work and inspiration with the disabled. Richard Collier, former Jacksonville Jaguar offensive tackle, and Laurie Price, executive director of Hope Haven Childen’s Clinic and Family Center, will be recognized at an Honor the Honoree reception Aug. 19, as well as at a ceremony before the start of the Sept. 2 Jaguars home game. The honors are being given as part of Disability Awareness Night, an event that began in 2002, with the goal of increasing awareness of the 54.y6 million Americans who live with disabilities by highlighting their accomplishments as well as their achievements.

During the pregame ceremony MassMutual will also give 200 free Jacksonville Jaguars tickets to the disabled community of Jacksonville for a September home game.
