Joint chamber luncheon to address gulf and health of the St. Johns

The health of the St. Johns River and the Gulf Coast oil spill and its continuing impact on the state of Florida are the topics of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Beaches Joint Luncheon.  The luncheon is co-hosted by the Chamber’s Beaches Division and the Northeast Business Council of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce.  The Beaches Joint Luncheon is held four times a year and provides opportunities for collaboration and networking.

Scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, located at 814 A1A N. in Ponte Vedra Beach, the meeting features guest speaker, Dr. Quinton White, executive director of the Marine Science Institute at Jacksonville University.  The cost to attend the luncheon is $20 with advanced payment received by Monday, Aug. 9, or $25 at the door.  Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
