St. Johns County Chamber seeks new president

St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce has begun a search for a new president and CEO following thest john chamber logo resignation of Robin Burchfield, who served as president for the past six years. As an employee of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce for more than 20 years, Burchfield made a significant impact at the Chamber, including helping it receive a five star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber is seeking to find a new president and CEO by early fall 2010. The future president will be responsible for providing strategic direction in conjunction with the executive committee and the board of directors, community leadership, and membership growth and development, among other duties. 

“The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of business leadership experience, strategic thinking, excellent communication skills and demonstrate a proficiency in fiscal responsibility,” Atwood said.  A committee consisting of members of the board of directors will facilitate the recruitment process.
