Mayor to host annual environmental luncheon

Mayor John Peyton will host the 19th Annual Environmental Luncheon on May 21 to recognize individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to preserving the environment throughout the year. The event will also showcase exhibits and information on local environmental organizations and programs.

Tickets for the luncheon are $25 and are available in advance through the City of Jacksonville Office of Special Events or by calling (904) 630-3690.  Tickets also may be purchased at the door, depending upon availability.

This year’s theme focuses on attracting “green” businesses to Jacksonville.  The luncheon will be at the Jacksonville Main Library, 303 N. Laura St.
