Jacksonville Advantage: The Resource for Small Business has become an official partner of the Jacksonville Regionalsbclogo1 Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Center.

“We are thrilled to be able to support the Chamber’s efforts in promoting and supporting small business,” said Brian Barquilla, publisher of the Jacksonville Advantage. “Our mission is to provide resources to make small business not only survive but to thrive. Our partnership will enable both the Chamber and resources of Jacksonville Advantage to accomplish that mission.”

Sandy Bartow, president of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber Foundation and vice president of the Small Business Division, said, “The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Center is excited to have Jacksonville Advantage promote our workshops, counseling, and mentoring programs for start-up and growing businesses.  We appreciate the support as together we help build a stronger entrepreneurial community in Northeast Florida.” 

Jacksonville Advantage provides a complete resource of information and business-building tools to small business owners in the greater Jacksonville area. In addition to the monthly print magazine, which is also available in a digital format (available online and by subscribing to the e-newsletter), it offers readers a Web site with small business information resources, news affecting small businesses, a poll, and business briefs; a bi-weekly e-newsletter; and a monthly Knowledge Is Power workshop.

The Chamber’s Small Business Center assists the growth and development of Jacksonville’s small business community by assessing its needs, collaborating with service providers, and offering technical assistance, mentoring, and access to capital.
