Kids Carnival set for May 15

The MaliVai Washington Kids Foundations (MWKF) will be hosting its Annual Verizon Wireless Kids 4 Kids Carnival onmalwashington logo May 15 at MaliVai the Washington Youth Center, 1096 W. 6th Street Jacksonville.

The Verizon Wireless Kids 4 Kids Carnival will feature activities for youth of all ages, including: games, prizes, bounce houses, and inflatables, a live DJ, contests, mascots, arts and crafts, tennis clinics, giveaways and more. This event will also feature community organizations providing helpful information on health and social services. This event is free to the community;, however, donations are accepted.

MWKF is a local, nonprofit youth development organization which operates the TnT (Tennis-n-Tutoring) after-school program. The TnT program serves nearly 150 underserved youth in the community and provides free homework assistance, tennis lessons, and life-skills classes to youth in grades one through 12, Monday through Friday. MWKF also offers competitive tennis programs, a summer camp, community partnerships and programs.

The mission of the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation is to create champions in classrooms, on tennis courts, and throughout communities.
