Jerry Mallot, president of Cornerstone and executive vice president of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of, will speak about the “Current and Future Economic Outlook for the Northeast Florida Region” at the April 16 Downtown Council meeting.
Mallot will begin by discussing Cornerstone’s and the Chamber’s key areas of focus, which include recruiting and retaining jobs, downtown development, intermodal transportation, retaining the Jaguars, and furthering the region’s port and military development.
“Our focus and initiatives are designed to ensure Northeast Florida has the resources needed to maintain strong growth as the region moves into more favorable economic times,” Mallot said. “Our mission throughout 2010 and for the future is to drive quality economic growth in Northeast Florida inspired by a vision that the region is the best place to live, work and play.”
Mallot will focus on Cornerstone’s initiatives that are helping build the foundation for prosperity and job development successes in the future. He will also discuss Northeast Florida’s current economic state and how the region is shaping the economy for the future.
