FCMA wins state award

The government affairs committee of the First Coast Manufacturers AssociationFCMA logosmall (FCMA) has won the Manufacturers Association of Florida’s (MAF) president’s award at their 6th annual summit in Orlando.

According to MAF executive director Nancy Stephens, FCMA was selected for the award for its leadership and technique in handling government affairs; political contributions; education of association members about the political issues and process; relationships with their state legislators; its success in passing legislation the same year as its first introduction; and overall political savvy.

The First Coast Manufacturers Association is a non-profit trade association serving Northeast Florida. It has more than 1,500 manufacturing companies on the First Coast, providing more than 45,000 jobs, and generating nearly 15% of the total gross regional product.
