Business.gov offers training, resources for federal contracting

Many government agencies require that some percentage of the procurements be set aside for small businesses, according the Business.gov Web site. To help small businesses, the Web site offers training and resources for small businesses to learn how to become a federal contractor.

Federal Government

Learn how to become a federal contractor, find business opportunities, and the rules and regulations that federal contractors need to follow. These resources focus on contracting with Executive Branch agencies. Legislative and Judicial branch agencies have their own, yet comparable, contracting procedures and requirements.

State Government

Contact your state procurement agency to register as a contractor and find and bid on opportunities. (Florida is listed.)
