New co-chair named for Chamber’s 2nd Stage Initiative

Small Business Division, has named its new co-chair, Vince McCormack, president of Perdue Office Interiors. McCormack will work with co-chair Gwen Griggs, chief administrative officer and legal council for PARC Management. Together they will lead the Chamber’s initiative to impact second stage businesses and further their potential for increased revenue, job growth and expansion in our region.

Businesses in second-stage business development are those with 10 to 99 employees and annual revenues of $1 million to $49 million.

Some of the programs available to CEOs of these types of businesses include PeerSpectives, a peer-to-peer tool focusing on sharing experiences instead of giving advice, and CEO Nexus Forum, a program that brings area entrepreneurs together with top-tier CEOs who have achieved great success. The goal of 2nd Stage is provide an environment that helps CEOs increase their company’s growth and success rate in Northeast Florida.

CEOs of companies in the second stage of business development are encouraged to attend the next CEO Nexus Forum on Thursday, October 15, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. The featured speaker is Robert Hill, president and CEO of Acosta Inc. The Forum is free and open to all CEOs of 2nd Stage companies, who meet the criteria noted above.
